Mitchell Ward and Pamela Wills-Ward of MW Logistics, LLC, were speakers at the FreightFest 2023 Conference, where industry experts and entrepreneurs share their experiences and insights on working in the Transportation and Supply Chain & Logistics Industry. 
 
Through his vast experience as founder and CEO of MW Logistics, Mitchell shared the importance of building business relationships and forecasting the market. He spoke on his over twenty-eight career and his journey in business and his business model journey from owning trucks and assets to building a successful 3PL company.  He attributes his success in part to building, maintaining and growing  relationships with customers;  in addition to delivering exceptional customer service and evolving to providing service solutions in more innovative ways. Here are some of the great pearls of wisdom Mitchell and Pam shared with the audience:
 
– To secure and grow your business, treat each of your customers as if they were your best customer. If you meet the needs of your customers, delivering as you promised consistently and well, they will assist you in making connections which will open more doors of opportunity for you.
 
– Investing in technology not only enhances your ability to make better informed business decisions and provide greater customer insights; it also contributes to your company’s ability to scale and grow.

-Employees are an important asset to your company.  Define your company culture, know the skills you need and seek out the best candidate you can hire that fits them. Once hired, invest ( time and/or resources) into their onboarding and training.  As leaders, your success is determined in large part to their abilities and how they represent you.
